Virgo Analytics Ltd ("we," "us") operates virgo-analytics.co.uk. This page explains what personal data we collect through this site, why, and what your rights are.

Who we are

What we collect

Contact form. If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you write in the message field. This is processed via Formspree (formspree.io), a third-party form service that receives this data on our behalf and forwards it to us by email. Formspree's own privacy policy governs how they handle data in transit, see formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how people use the site: pages visited, how you found us, general location and device type. GA4 uses cookies and, where you've consented, may share data with Google for advertising purposes (for example, if you later see an ad from us elsewhere, informed by how you used this site). You can accept or decline this when you first visit, and change your choice any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. If you decline, Google may still report aggregated, non-identifying usage trends (Google's Consent Mode), but nothing that identifies you individually is stored. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy for how Google itself handles this data, including that it may be processed on servers outside the UK/EEA under Google's standard contractual safeguards.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for two purposes: remembering your light/dark theme preference (this one is always on, it's not personal data and doesn't need consent), and GA4 analytics (only on if you accept, see above). We don't use cookies for anything else, and we don't run advertising cookies from any other party.

Why we process it

Contact form data: to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interest (responding to a request you initiated) or, where relevant, taking steps prior to entering a contract with you.

Who we share it with

Formspree, as the form-processing service described above. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your enquiry, then deleted. We don't maintain an ongoing mailing list or database of enquiries beyond what's needed for that purpose.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to: tell you what data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop processing it. Contact info@virgo-analytics.co.uk to exercise any of these. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've handled your data wrongly.

We'll update the date at the top of this page if this policy changes.
